ACPE Setup
What the ACPE connection does, what you configure once, and what each course needs in place before credits can report to CPE Monitor.
Pharmacy CE providers accredited by ACPE can report completions to CPE Monitor automatically. Once it's connected, a learner claiming credit is the only action anyone takes — the submission, the validation, and the record all follow from it.
What the connection does
- Pulls your activity data down. Enter a UAN on a credit and the description, credit hours, release and expiration dates, course setting, format, and live dates all come back from CPE Monitor already filled in — the credit is built from the record ACPE holds rather than retyped. See UANs & Live Dates.
- Validates learners at registration. The NABP e-Profile ID and date of birth are checked against ACPE while the learner signs up, so a mistyped identifier is corrected on the spot instead of surfacing as an unreportable credit weeks later. See Learner Validation.
- Submits on completion. When a learner claims their credit, it goes to NABP without an upload step.
- Keeps the record. Every submission is stored with what was sent, viewable per learner and across your whole account.
Setting up the connection
ACPE connections use credentials issued by ACPE, and we activate the CPE Monitor interface on your account. Email us to start — it's a one-time setup and we'll walk it through with you.
Go to Organization Settings → Accreditations and add an accreditation of type ACPE. You'll provide:
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| Display Name | How this accreditation is labelled when you attach it to a credit |
| Authorized ACPE Signature | A PNG or JPEG of the signature that appears on your statements of credit |
| ACPE Organization Name | Your organization's name as registered with ACPE |
| CPE Monitor Environment | Production or Test |
| ACPE Provider ID | Your ACPE provider ID |
| CPE Monitor Username / Password | The account used to reach the CPE Monitor web service |
| Privacy & Confidentiality Statement | Included on your announcements to meet ACPE announcement requirements |
| Accreditation Statement Override | Optional. Replaces the accreditation statement at the foot of your announcement page |
More than one provider ID
You can configure several ACPE accreditations on one account, each with its own provider ID and statements, then pick the right one per credit. Useful when you accredit under more than one entity, or jointly with a partner.
What each course needs
Two things sit outside the accreditation screen itself, and both are set up once under Organization Settings.
Registration types need a Meaning. Set it to ACPE: Pharmacy, ACPE: Physician, or ACPE: Nurse so LecturePanda knows those learners' credits go to ACPE. Registration types that don't report to ACPE leave it blank.
Registration types need two fields. CPE Monitor requires the NABP e-Profile ID and Date of Birth on every submission, so the registration form for those types must collect both. Adding them also switches on learner validation — the pair is checked against ACPE as the learner registers. Building a new registration type by copying an existing ACPE one carries the fields across; building from scratch doesn't. This is the single most common reason a whole registration type never reports — see Reporting & Troubleshooting.
Then, on each credit in a course, attach your ACPE accreditation in the Accreditation & Reporting field and set the Activity Type — Knowledge, Application, Practice, or Certificate Program.
