Zapier
Push LecturePanda registrations and completions into other systems — a CRM, a spreadsheet, a state reporting portal — using Zapier's New Registration and Course Completed triggers.
What the trigger sends
The New Registration trigger fires when someone registers for one of your courses. The payload includes the registration details plus any custom registration questions that were used on that course.
First name and last name arrive separately
LecturePanda's registration form collects Name as a single field, but the Zapier payload splits it into separate First Name and Last Name values. If you need first and last name apart — for a CRM, a spreadsheet, or a regulatory upload — map those fields directly; there's no need to change your registration form.
"Find new records" shows nothing (or only old registrations)
When you test the trigger and Zapier shows records from months ago — or nothing at all — the integration is almost certainly working correctly. Two behaviors explain it:
The trigger polls a short window. It surfaces registrations from roughly the last 15 minutes, matching the polling cadence. Anything older has already been pulled once and won't reappear. Zapier's own test screen says as much: it loads the most recent records that have not appeared previously. The old samples you're seeing are leftovers from earlier test pulls, not live data.
To test properly: place a real registration on the course you care about, then hit Find new records in Zapier immediately afterwards. That registration falls inside the polling window and appears with its full payload.
Custom fields are missing from the payload
The payload carries only the custom fields actually used by that specific registration. If your custom questions aren't attached to the course a sample registration came from, those fields don't exist on that record — so Zapier has nothing to show and nothing to map.
This is why you can have custom questions configured in your account and still see none of them in Zapier's sample: the samples came from courses that don't use them.
The fix is the same test as above — register on the course that does carry the custom questions, then pull new records right away.
If the fields still don't appear after that, contact support with the course name and we'll check the payload from our side. We don't need access to your Zapier account to do that.
Good uses for the Zapier connection
- Sync registrations into a CRM to track course engagement
- Log completions to a spreadsheet for a team that doesn't use LecturePanda
- Feed a reporting portal that needs separated first/last names
- Trigger your own follow-up messaging alongside LecturePanda's automated reminders
