ACCME PARS Setup
Physician CME providers can report completions to ACCME's PARS automatically. Here's the one-time configuration.
If you accredit CME through ACCME, the PARS connection pulls your activity data down when you build a course and submits completions back when learners finish — the same shape as the ACPE connection, with PARS's own fields.
PARS connections use credentials issued by ACCME, and we activate the interface on your account. Get in touch and we'll set it up with you.
Configuring the connection
Go to Organization Settings → Accreditations and add an accreditation of type PARS.
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| PARS Organization Name | Your organization's name as registered with PARS |
| PARS Organization Domain | Your organization's domain as registered with PARS |
| Environment | Production or Test |
| PARS Provider ID | Your PARS provider ID |
| PARS Username / Password | The account used to reach the PARS web service |
| Date of Birth Field | The registration question where learners give their birthday, in MMDD format |
| State Selection Field | The registration question for their state of practice |
| License Field | The registration question for their state license number |
| Configure Boards | The licenses and professions you submit for |
The three field selections point at questions on your registration forms, so add those questions to the registration types your CME learners use before you finish the configuration. The date of birth field is worth setting up carefully — PARS expects MMDD, not a full date.
One connection, several boards
Configure Boards is where you list the licenses and professions you report. A single course can then serve several of them, with each learner reported under the board that matches their license.
