Maine CLE Rosters That Reach the Board Without the Typing

Attorneys give their Maine bar number when they register. LecturePanda builds the attendance roster, course numbers, bar numbers and credits included, and emails it to the Board of Overseers of the Bar on the schedule you set.

After every program

The Last Panel Ends, and the Roster Work Begins

The seminar went well. Now someone turns a sign-in sheet into a roster for the Board: names, bar numbers, course numbers and credits, typed one attorney at a time.

  • Bar numbers chased down after the programEmails to attorneys who are already back in court or with clients.
  • General and ethics credits keyed separatelyThe same attorney typed in again for every credit category.
  • A roster for every programTyped, checked and emailed, then again after the next one.

Questions from Maine CLE Sponsors

How long does setup take?

One short sitting. Choose "Start from a board's format" in a Spreadsheet Report and pick Maine Board of Overseers of the Bar (CLE), choose the registration question that holds the Maine bar number or let LecturePanda create one, and type each credit's Maine course number and credit category. We're glad to set it up with you on a call using one of your own programs.

What do we need to have ready?

Each program's course number from the Board's approval letter, and the credit categories and credits it was approved for. LecturePanda takes care of the columns, the names, the dates, the Board's address and the schedule.

Our program carries General and ethics credit. Does that work?

Yes. Give the course a credit for each category, such as General and Ethics and Professionalism, each with its own credits. Every attorney gets a row for each credit they earn, all in the same roster.

What if an attorney types their bar number wrong?

The Maine bar number question takes up to 6 digits, so stray letters and symbols are fixed on the spot by the attorney who knows the number. The preview shows the next roster's rows before it goes, and Send History keeps every roster, with its rows, for a year.

Some of our attendees are admitted in other states. What happens to them?

The Maine roster carries the attorneys with a Maine bar number, and everyone still gets their certificate of attendance. A program approved in more than one state can send each one its own file from the same registration.

Does it work for in-house and free programs?

Yes. A law firm's in-house CLE, a free county bar association lunch program and a paid statewide conference all report the same way, and Spreadsheet Reports are part of the LecturePanda subscription; see pricing.

Can we still change the roster?

Yes. Once it's set up, the Maine CLE report is an ordinary Spreadsheet Report: change the schedule, add a recipient or adjust a column whenever you need to. Send a test shows you the result first.
